Zeta Day 2018
On February 17th, 2018, twenty-five of the the sisters from Kappa Chi traveled to meet at the Forsyth Conference Center in Cumming, Georgia. At Zeta Day, all of the ZTA chapters in Georgia gather to recognize both Collegiate and Alumni chapters.
Travel and Shopping!!
While some of our sisters came the night before for some much needed sister-sister bonding, most of our sisters got up before day-break to travel to Cumming, Georgia for some AMAZING Shopping. Vendors at Zeta day have numerous Zeta Tau Alpha tank tops, sweatshirts, t-shirts, and adorable ZTA letters shirts! On top of that, you can get key chains, decals, jewelry, and even a shirt for bae back home (our men gotta represent, after all!). There were also some super cute silent action baskets, including Kappa Chi’s Stationary Basket that we put together a few short weeks ago as an EC!
The day went a little like this…
We started off the day by playing a game (keep in mind we are talking about every ZTA in Georgia playing this game) called heads or tails, and after that we got hyped over the Spirit Stick, the chapter showing the most spirit at the end of the day gets to bring home the Spirit Stick for the year! We then got to watch all of our wonderful Alumni get recognized with their 50 year pins and one special lady was awarded her 75 year pin! She was initiated in 1943, and was actually present for the colonization of Kappa Chi at Shorter University! Our four beautiful seniors on the trip were recognized for the ever nearing transition into the alumni world with the senior ceremony, with our sister Whitney McEntyre as one of the speakers! After an one hour lunch break, we went into our separate alumni/collegiate break out sessions. Our guest speaker Bonny Shade, a ZTA alum, KILLED IT. We had some real talk about genuine sisterhood- Building a more noble woman. After Awards, and lots of pictures, we were on our way back to Rome!
Awards:
Highest GPA in Georgia
Most Outstanding Fundraising
Quota Recognition
The Alice McCann Mathews Award for small chapter!!

Reinhardt University Colonization
Kappa Chi was honored to be part of the colonization of the Lambda Pi chapter at Reinhardt University. We were able to help with recruitment, initiation of new members, and the installation of the Lambda Pi Chapter. This is an incredible experience for the members of Kappa Chi.
We traveled to Reinhardt on two separate occasions. The first trip was to help with the second night (out of three) of recruitment. The focus of the night was on Philanthropy and service. The second occasion was for the initiation of the new members and the installation of the Lambda Pi Chapter. We were so excited to get to initiate the members of the Reinhardt colony. We were able to stay the night and come back the next day for the officer installation and the installation of the Lambda Pi chapter. Following there was an honorary banquet.
